Wedding Bells for Rowling
Joanne K Rowling (36) married her partner, anaesthetist, Dr. Neil Murray (29)
in a secret 20-minute private ceremony on December 26th, 2001 'Boxing Day'
at her new home,
'Killiechassie House', Aberfeldy, Perthshire in Scotland.
The bride wore a stunning cream outfit, especially designed for her.
The three bridesmaids were her daughter, Jessica, her sister Dianne and Dr. Murray's sister Lorna.
Present among the 15 friends and family were:
Ms. Rowling's father, Peter, and stepmother, Barbara
Dr. Murray's parents, Ernest and Barbara Murray
Plans for the wedding were kept secret.
Ms. Rowling,
who separated from her first husband shortly after her daughter's birth, met
Dr. Murray, at
the home of a mutual friend in Edinburgh last year.
