The Dursleys might end up helping harry or havin some major part in books 6 and 7 because for some reason aunt petunia remembered that tiny scrap of information at the start of the book 5.Also uncle vernon did not understand what the howler meant that aunt petunia got at the start of book 5 which means for some reason she did not tell uncle vernon about the letter that came with harry when he was on the door step. ~ hprockant

I think Harry's father, James, was the heir of Gryffindor which is where he gets his fortune from. But because James is dead (supposively) that would mean Harry is the heir of Gryffindor. Which to me would make sense in his abilities as a new wizard. It completely comes natural to him.
Example, flying....he becomes the first seeker in a century the first time he even sits on a broom, the fact that he can pull out the sword in COS and Dumbledore tells him "it took a real Gryiffindor" to pull that out of the hat, etc.. ~ Wendy

I don't think that the title of the sixth book will be ' The Green Flame Torch' or whatever it is supposed to be, because that title is too close to the same title of the fourth book, 'The Goblet of Fire'. It's kind of like indicating a similar plotline, so... As for Crookshanks being important, it's possible that he is, but then again, Ron's rat Scabbers was also very important, and having two pets that are both important in the same place is too big of a coincidence. It would be kind of silly for that to happen, I think. Crookshanks was probably only there to help along the plot in book three. For example, when Scabbers suddenly disappears, they blame Crookshanks of eating him, so therefore, it comes out completely unexpected when Scabbers turns out to be Wormtail. I don't think the rumour about Harry and Ginny getting together because they look like Harry's parents hold any substance at all. I don't think Harry and Cho will get to! gether, nor Hermione or Krum. Harry and Ron don't approve of Krum, and I don't think Hermione would end up with someone her two best friends don't like. It is possible that Harry and Ginny get together. Harry's eyes (apparently) are going to play an important part in book six, but I don't think it has anything to do with the Green Flame Torch thingy. In book five, it's mentionned a look of times that Harry, despite the fact that he looks like his father, doesn't exactly have the same personality as his father. He does, however, have his mother's eyes, and as the famous saying goes, 'eyes are the windows to the soul'. I think Harry will discover more about his mother in book six. Finally, the Sorting Hat's song in book five as well as Dumbledore's speech at the end of book four open the door to a lot of possibilities. They talk about standing together in the face of evil. Well personally i think that sirius might actually be dead and will not come back. Although i so not want to believe this (sirius is my favorite character) i think that he is dead and gone. I think that harry is Gryffindor's last remaining ancestor for these following reasons:
Gryffindor colored (red and Gold) sparks come out of Harry's wand.
Gryffindor's first name is Godric. Harry and his parents lived on Godric's Hollow.
Harry pulled Godric's sword out of the sorting hat. Then Dumbledore said "only a TRUE Gryffindor could pull that out of the hat".

I also think that, in a way, Harry is an ancestor of Slytherin because Voldemort is and he transferred some of his powers into Harry with the curse that failed.
In other words, I think that Harry Potter is both Gryffindor's and Slytherin's heir, and so only he can kill Slytherin's true heir cuz he has the same plus more powers than Slytherin's heir.

I personaly think that Harry and Luna might have something in the future. My thought comes from the fifth book of Harry Potter, when Harry realizes that Luna isn't so weird afterall. I sinsearly think that Dumbeldore isn't Tom Riddles father, or in any way shape or form related to him. If anyone says that he's somehow helping Voldemort, then why in the world did he put a charm on Harry and the Dursleys to keep both of them safe, why did he always believe Harry, and mainly why did he help Harry at the Ministry of Magic when Voldemort was about to kill Harry? I do admit that it's highly suspicious that not even Dumbeldore knew what was hidden in the Chamber of Secrets. I think that Harry IS the Gryfindor heir and I don't deny that I myself think that in the end the life long rivelry between Harry and Voldemort all comes back down to the hatred between Gryfindor and Slytherin. I don't think that Lily ever had any affair with Voldemort or if she was a DeatEater. I do think, however, that Snape was infact jelous of James for getting Lily. There's a rumor here in Ridgecrest that Lily is infact somehow related to that 1 family member that the Weasly's don't talk about, and that's why Ginny somehow looks so strikinly like Lily. I don't really agree with Ellen Mackenzie's idea that Sirius isn't really dead. For some wierd reason the way that Rowling described the veil, I guess, sort of
made me think of it as being like the means of carring out a death sentence. Like instead of leathal injection or the electric chair, maybe they are forced
to go beyond the veil? This would explain why Lupin said that Sirius definatly was gone and why he was intent on not allowing Harry to go near it. I could be
wrong, but on page 817(American) Dumbledor tells Fudge that there is a bunch of Death Eaters in the "Death Chamber." I don't know; it could just as easily be
some sort of link between life and what lies beyond, a way of contacting those who have gone on. That would actually make more sense as to why there were so many benches circling the room. I would hope that there wouldn't be that big of an audience to watch someone go, but hey, look at history with hanging and the

I agree with many that Sirius' time is not up just yet. Well, him being my favorite character; you can imagine how I was frantically looking for clues on making myself believe that he would not be entirely gone. Well, I found one. Remember the black curtain that he fell through? Remember the voices they heard. At the end of book five, page 863 in the American version towards the end of the page, Harry finds out that Luna wittnessed her mother's death-hence the reason she can see the Thestrals, and she says that it's "Not as if I'll ever see them again." Harry then questions this. "Oh, come on. You heard them, just behind the veil, didn't you?" Harry again questions this. That's when Luna makes it a little clearer. "In that room with the archway. They were just lurking out of sight, that's all. You heard them." Therefor, I have been led to believe that Sirius is yet to return!!!! THERE IS HOPE!!!!! - Nmbr1brtck

I think that Lupin and Peter Pettigrew will die in the 6th or 7th book because it seems like all four friends (Moony, Padfoot, Wormtail, and Prongs) will all be dead by the end of the series. So far James Potter (Prongs) and Sirius Black (Padfoot) have already died. Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail) has a silver hand, and silver kills werewolves so that kind of gives a hint that Wormtail will kill Lupin. That leaves Wormtail left, and I don't think Harry Potter will let him get away with it, especially because he already wants Wormtail dead for betraying his parents. I don't think that Wormtail will still be alive in the end so that all four of the old friends will end up gone by the end of the series. -L'italiano

Alright well if you read the 5th book you would know that the only reason that Voldemort wanted to kill harry was because of the profecy.. so he went after harry but james got in the way and told lily to take harry and leave.. so voldemort had to kill james to get to harry.. then lily wouldnt just let him kill harry so she made voldemort kill her too.. then he finally had what he wanted and could kill harry.. however it didnt work. Okay, So I've just finished reading book 5 for the 6th time and I've got a few thoughts about the future books and other rumours that I've read on this site.
I've decided that I agree with some of the rumours, i.e. Harry & Ginny getting together, Ron and Hermione... However I disagree with a few. I highly
doubt that Aunt Petunia is a squib, she could just have remembered things that she over heard Lily saying when they were younger. On the subject of Sirius, rest his soul, I feel as though Dumbledor will find a way to clear his name. That way people don't think the worst of him. This probably won't happen 'til the end of book 7. I have a little theory that Krum might return in a future book, maybe as one of the international members of the Order? In my reading I noticed that the thestrals can only be seen by people who have witnessed death. The book explains why Looney I mean Luna can see them, but it never goes in to detail about Neville. Why? Who did Neville see die? Maybe we'll find out in Book 6 or 7? As for the prophecy, obviously it will be fufilled one way or another, but I disagree with the rumours saying that if one dies the other will as well. I'm not saying that it's not possible for both to die, but the clue
that Roy S. speaks of ("there are things worse than death"), I don't think that is what Dumbledore was refering to. On the contrary, I think that the thing
worse than death is something you experience in life, it's something Voldemort can not understand or even experience. LOVE. I know it might sound "kindda" funny, but it actually fits. Think about it. Here is my evidence...In book 1 HP defeats Vold. because he can't touch him due to the mark left on HP by his mom, the mark of LOVE. In 5, the american version page 816, when HP is possessed " ...Harry's heart filled with emotion, the creature's coils loosened..." Then there's the bit about how HP's abillity to feel so much emotion is his greatest strength. Also the fact that Vold. used Sirius to get to HP, playing with HP's emotions, his love for Sirius. You see all these things fit in the explination Dumbledor gives to HP about the Prophecy, p. 843. "There is a room in the Department of Mysteries..." He goes on to say "that the room contains a force more wonderful and more terrible than death, than human intelligence, than forces of nature...It is the power held within the room that you possess in such quantities and which Voldemort has not at all. That power took you to save Sirius tonight. That power also saved you from possession ...It was you heart that saved you." In short I think that the key to defeatin Voldemort is going to, in some wierd way, be love. Well, that's just my opinion, everyone is entitled to their own. Thanx!!! -Macy M. King

I have heard rumours that the 7th book will be called ' The fortress of shadows'. Now, that makes sense after hearing the prophecy in book 5 'Harry will have to fight Voldemort again, and their wands can' t be used against each other properly. There will be the Priori incantatemi effect 'and perhaps the shadows that will come out of Voldemorts wand will form a fortress to help Harry. Sergiy

I don't agree with the rumour by ^*Jake*^ about Voldemort wanting to kill Harry because Lily cheated on him with James. In the Order of the Phoenix it tells that the reason Voldemort wanted to kill Harry was because of the prophecy. The prophecy said that "as the 7th month dies the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born." this is why Voldemort wanted to kill Harry. Marcus

I think that the fortress of shadows in book 7 will be Azkaban. It is a more likely place for the Dark Lord to stay because of the dementors like for dark. Azkaban has always been known as the fortress of azkaban however Hogwarts is always known as a castle. Because of this I dont think it will be Hogwarts. Matt M

IMNSHO (In My Not So Humble Opinion):
- Ron will get a girlfriend in the 6th book (hopefully Hermione, but we'll see.)
- I strongly disagree with the rumour that Hermione looks just like Lily. Lily had red hair and green eyes. Hermione has brown hair and eyes. If anyone looks like Lily, it's Ginny, who also has red hair.
- Harry and Ginny will fall in love. I do not think that this is horribly predictable because, as is stated in the OotP, Ginny gave up on Harry and got a new boyfriend, Michael Corner. Because Ginny's hero-worship crush was given up on, it would not be her "dream come true" if she got Harry.
- Ron and Hermione will end up together. There is plenty of evidence in the books to support that they will, at least, get together.

- There may be a connection between Crookshanks' and Mundungus Fletcher's bandy legs and ginger hair.
- Draco Malfoy will not become a DE like his daddy. I don't think that he and Harry will "team up," but I do believe that Draco will help J.K. push the theme that it's important to choose between what is right and what is easy.
- Something big is revealed about Lily Potter in Book 7.
- I like the idea about Harry being the Heir of Gryffindor, but I don't think it's true because we'd have learned about that in the OotP. Plus it wouldn't really fit with the theme of the books (blood is not important, it's what you grow to become that matters).
And last but not least:
- The idea of Ron becoming a DE is positively ridiculous. (I find that many ppl with this idea seem to be H/H shippers, who seem to believe that Ron is a threat to their (H/H) relationship.) If any Weasleys turn evil, it's gotta be Percy.

Okay, now Voldemort says in GoF that one of the Death Eaters has switched sides and won't come back. But in book 5 Harry finds out in the extra lessons that Snape is spying for Dumbledore. So, Voldemort couldn't be so stupid that he'd let Snape to come to the meetings if he'd thought that Snape was the traitor. In the Order of Phoenix, Dumbledore says, "Its time i told you something I should have told you 5 years ago," or something of that sort. I think Harry is the heir of Gryffindor for several reasons. a) When he bought his wand, it shot out red and gold sparks, red and gold being the colors of Gryffindor. b)His parents lived in godric Hollow. I'm sorry but i'm afraid i have to disagree with "The Demls" (*see Other Rumours at the bottom) who posted about Dumbledore being in league with Voldemort. That is absolutely ridiculous! The reason Dumbledore never helped the three is because he knew they could get through everything in the end. None of them have gotten killed yet, have they? He just wants them to figure things out on their own. However i do believe that Voldemort and Dumbledore just aren't enemies. I think they're related, maybe even father and son. That would explain why Dumbledore knows so much about him and Voldemort is so scared of confronting him.
And that "twinkle" in Dumbledore's eye? I think is was because he knew that Voldemort was weaker now that he had human blood in him. And wait! He even has Mudblood, Lily's blood. That could prove to be one of the most important things in books to come.
And I also do agree that Lily may have been once a death eater, and married to Voldemort, and possibly had a child? but then left for James. Voldemort was jealous, killed James first, wanted to destroy everything of James, including his son, Lily wouldn't let him, BAM she's dead too.

This is dealing with overall rumors. I think that ron and hermione will hook it up. Maybe not get married, but they'll have some sort of relationship. Harry won't marry anyone that has been introduced yet. A Harry and Ginny relationship is not even an option. I think by the end of the story history will have repeated itself. James and Snape were much like Harry and Malfoy. So at some point in time draco will get into trouble and harry will save his life just like james saved snape's. Malfoy will just hate him even more because he will be in his debt. And saving his life will come in handy when harry is in trouble.


After all the books I think harry, ron, and hermione will become aurors. Ever since their first year at hogwarts they acted somewhat of aurors.   • Harry could be Gryffindor's Heir, as already stated. And in a way, he IS the heir of Slytherin. Slytherin passed some of his powers (like Parseltounge) onto Harry on that Halloween night, possibly through some of his blood or magical essence.
  • Lily might've somehow been related to the Weasleys. They share the red hair, and Ron mentions that the Weasleys have a distant cousin who's an accountant that "they don't talk about". Could Lily be descended from that person?
  • J.K. has stated that Voldemort and Harry are NOT related, further giving credence to the fact that Harry is only a Slytherin through Voldemort

  1) Sirius is going to be recaptured by the M.O.M. or killed, per Professor Trelawney's first "prediction"
  of book 4.

  2)Cornelius Fudge is a Death Eater. He seemed so adamant against a
  possible Voldemort resurrection. I think its an act.

  3) On that note, the M.O.M. could even be overwhelmed with the new attack of Lord Voldemort.

  4) I would have to go against the rumors that Harry will fall in love with Hermione. I think his love for

  5) Lupin will re-emerge. I don't know when, where, how, or why, but he will be back. My gut tells me
  that he might even be working with Snape at some point.

  6) Again, something in my gut tells me that Dumbledore is going to die. He's old. He'll probably stay
  behind in a dangerous situation so that Harry and/or others can escape.

  7) There's going to be a new Potions teacher. Snape is going back to his position as mole in the Death
  Eaters. On the other hand, Voldemort said that one had left his ranks forever, and that this dissident
  would die. Perhaps he was referring to Snape.

  8) I think that though the Dursley's hate Harry, a combination of two factors have kept him from being
  abandoned, killed, or utterly neglected. 1: They do,somewhere, deep down, (VERY deep down), feel that love
  that is felt between relatives, and 2: Wizardpressure. It could be that they were intimidated into
  keeping Harry by well-meaning wizards. This wouldexplain their phobia of anything magic-related.

  9) This one is probably not going to happen, but I think that Dudley is going to slim down!

  10) The Dursley's might actually aid in keeping Harry alive at some point.
